2022 Fall Camp DC will be back at YMCA Camp Shady Brook

Hey Huskies!

We are super excited to offer Fall 2022 Camp DC in November!  Your appointed JCs are hard at work planning this Fall’s experience, so we hope many of you will take the risk and attend.

What is CAMP DC you might ask?  Camp DC is a life coping skills camp with an emphasis on building trusting, as well as lasting relationships with peers and DCHS staff.  Students go through a series of carefully planned activities that challenge them both physically and emotionally.  The camp is designed by staff and leadership students for approximately 125 campers.  You will work through a very busy schedule of activities over the course of the two-and-a-half days.  Some activities included are a ropes (challenge) course, counsel group activities, different mini-sessions with DCHS staff members, games and so much more.

The dates of Fall Camp DC 2022 are Saturday, November 5 – Monday, November 7.  Camp DC spots are limited to students that are current seniors, juniors and sophomores and the cost for this camp is $150.00.  If you have a special situation in which you are unable to pay partial or the full Camp DC fee amount, please see Mrs. Shuck-Gray in the South Athletic Office.

Space IS LIMITED (125 total spots) so get yourself registered ASAP to guarantee your spot.  We hope you will seriously consider attending this amazing experience.  If you are unable to attend this November, we do offer two Camps annually (in November and March usually) for future school years.

For more information, please go to the Activities website (select Camp DC) or see Mrs. Shuck-Gray in the South Main Office, Mrs. Freel in the North main office, Mr. Jeff Allen in 62 South, or Mr. Josh Thrall in 15 North.  Any of these folks can tell you lots more about Camp DC and the benefits of taking the risk and attending.  YOU WON’T REGRET IT!
