Meet the Instructors

JROTC instructors are trained in youth development, character education, leadership instruction, and mentoring. Their focus is on supporting students as they grow into confident and capable leaders.

Major (R) John R. Myers

Major (R) John R. Myers

Major (R) John R. Myers retired from the US Army in 2023 after nearly 27 years of service: 15 years as Enlisted and 11 as an Officer. He holds multiple college degrees from several colleges, the highest being a Master’s of Aerospace Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He enlisted in the Army in 1997 and served as a CH-47 Chinook Helicopter Flight Engineer Instructor. He commissioned as an Officer in 2012 and served as an Aviation Officer, Pilot, and Space Operations Officer. He has held multiple leadership positions, including Company First Sergeant and Company Commander. Major Myers is a veteran of 10 deployments, including several combat tours, peacekeeping operations, and counterdrug and hostage recovery operations.

Clint Caballero Army instructor

First Sergeant (R) Clint Caballero honorably retired from the US Army in 2022 after 20years of active duty. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Administration from Central Michigan University. He enlisted in the Army in 2002 and served in the Armor Corps as a tank crewman and cavalry scout. He has held multiple leadership positions throughout his time in the Army. He has over 10 years of teaching experience in the Army and two years as a JROTC instructor. First Sergeant Caballero is a certified Army Instructor, Drill Sergeant, and a graduate of the Army's Master Fitness Training Course. He is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
