Concurrent Enrollment (CE)

Concurrent Enrollment (CE) is a great way to start Moving Mountains towards your future. CE courses provide high school students with the opportunity to enroll in college-level courses AND earn high school and college credits. The best part is that the college tuition is covered (there is no tuition cost to your family). However, there may be some course fees and materials costs.

Depending on availability and in accordance with the Douglas County School District policy, students may apply to take concurrent enrollment classes at DCHS, at another Douglas County High School, at the DCSD Legacy Campus, or on a college campus (such as Arapahoe Community College).  See all Concurrent Enrollment courses available in the Douglas County School District.

CE courses are taught at each traditional high school, by Douglas County School District teachers who have been approved as adjunct professors by an accredited institution of higher learning.

Benefits of Concurrent Enrollment

  • Earn college credits while still in high school with no tuition costs (when a class is taken at a DCSD school).
  • Receive the same quality, support, and rigor as a full-time college student.

  • Seamless transition to Arapahoe Community College or other college after high school.

  • Gain college experience to prepare for your future.
